I can't help but laugh on this one when I see people trying to defend Rosberg. SO clear that he was at fault for this one, which obviously the stewards agreed with given his penalties. His onboard showed he didn't even ATTEMPT to turn in until it was obviously way too late. He knew his brakes were overheating by this point and he still admitted to braking late to run Lewis wide.

Would have been great to see Kimi pass Max on the last lap too, but the yellows prevented that opportunity. He should have been ahead the whole time anyway, but Ferrari really screwed him over with the timing of his first stop.

What the hell happened to Force India?? Poor guys.

Body of evidence is certainly not on Rosberg's side. In my eyes this is the second collision he's caused.

So whatever fuckin reason, they give Nico the supersoft ones and they give Lewis the soft ones, so they're fuckin him over with each lap, alrite?

Pretty sure they just have to pay the team fines if they damage the cars hitting each other. When Lewis was asked in the press conference if the deterrents were "scary", he shook his head and then said "uhh I guess I should say yes. Yes." So probably $100k or something if they collide, which is a drop in the bucket compared to his salary. He probably gets a big bonus if he gets WDC too, so still worth it to fight hard.

Woot, love rain affected races, but hate SC starts. Rosberg got demoted to 3rd so Lewis is 1 point behind now! Plus there is a likelihood of a gearbox grid penalty for Nico at the next race.

Best pass attempt of the race?

Yeah, the safety car start as ridiculous in those conditions. It was a gentle rain, and they waited until everyone was ready to get intermediates before they pulled the SC in. Just crazy.

I don't like Nico, but the penalty for that radio call was just dumb. The radio rules need to be revised.

Was hoping for more from JB in those conditions, but ah well. At least Alonso was really positive after the race, and he set the second fastest lap, so that's a good step for them.

Yeah, in Austria, Button was saying that they felt their pace was about equal to Haas, but if you look at that list of fastest laps, Gutierrez was on a similar fuel load to Alonso and was 2 seconds slower than Alonso. I think Alonso was on fresher tires, but it's still encouraging to see that kind of speed. I'm a bit baffled to why their pace is so up and down though. Seems like their PU is probably very close to the Renault now. Here's hoping for a positive rest of the season, and hopefully Honda can catch up in 2017 with the token system removed!

I think what makes it a gem is Nico qualifying so well and then dropping back in the race, while Lewis was having bad luck all weekend and then fights at the front the whole race haha. Kubicaaaaaa

Not much to say about that last race, and it seems qualifying was more eventful.

Gutierrez got all offended over twitter #pussy

I missed this race. Was moving to our new house and didn't have TV or internet yet. Glad it was a snoozefest. Was surprised to see Alonso so high in the results!

My god F1 is a mess lately.
Step 1: Implement over-the-top rule to address spectator's concern about a minor issue.
Step 2: When people complain about the rule, make it even more stringent.
Step 3: Backlash? COMPLETELY remove rule. Forget why it was ever considered in the first place.

Seriously, the radio ban is GONE other than the formation lap & race start. Guess we can expect Nico to start asking where he can improve Turn 3 to catch Lewis again. The whole idea of the rule was to address driver coaching. They took it way too far so that it was actually a safety concern (drivers can't be told how to manage brake failure). Then they just take it away entirely. Seriously, nobody fucking cares if the engineers are telling the drivers what ERS mode to be in; we just don't want them being told what line to take through a corner. So DEFINE the rule. That's all anyone wanted. Fuck.

Also, they implemented the electronic track limit monitoring in Hungary. It worked. No one really complained. Now it's gone. WHAT?!
