Kimi having similar luck to when he was driving Newey-designed McLarens. Hopefully his car holds up at Spa!

Very entertaining race. Glad Kvyat wasn't hurt by all the debris from Hulk's wing.

Vettel loses his shit on Pirelli. Didn't weigh-in after the race and could face further discipline.

What do you guys think? Bad strategy or bad tires?

Bad tires. He was still getting good lap times, so how are the tires beyond their wear life? It was also revealed that prior to the race, Pirelli said that they believed the tires would be good for 40 laps. Vettel did 27 I believe. Can't imagine what would have happened the last few years if the US GP was still at Indianapolis. If Michelin messed it up back in 2005, just imagine how bad it would be with Pirelli on all the cars!

Only two tenths down, if Mercedes didn't use their tokens we would likely have seen a Ferrari 1-2. Should be an interesting race if Lewis suffers the same issue Nico had with the new spec engine or doesn't get a good start. The tifosi would go crazy if a red car won the race.

What an odd turn of events at the end. Pirelli continue to mess with the race results. Investigation of tire pressures which fluctuate constantly is just rediculous.

Mercedes should have known that turning up a high mileage engine had its risks for Nico. Championship decided?

Well Mercedes certainly demonstrated in Japan that Singapore was just a fluke. Ridiculously dominant again.

A few topics more interesting than the racing itself:
1) Is Horner going to get fired? Seriously, RBR bad-mouthed Renault for the last 2 seasons straight. Then they "divorce" them. THEN they start looking for alternatives. Now they're stuck deciding between year-old Ferrari engines, or just quitting the sport altogether and having to pay millions in penalties for leaving before 2020? Idiots. Complete idiots. I hope their team is devalued into nothing and then Audi snaps them up.
2) Is Button retiring or no? Should find out tomorrow, since the rumour is that the 30th is the deadline for a decision to be made for 2016. Supposedly his contract has him getting his salary doubled for next year, and Ron Dennis has been trying to reduce that, so Button is just playing it cool and saying he either gets full salary or he retires.
3) Renault has officially stated that they are taking a controlling stake in Lotus F1. Will they use Renault engines in 2016, or are they stuck using Mercedes in which case no teams will use Renault engines next year? Would that allow them to develop their engine freely for a return in 2017?

Singapore was caused by Pirelli screwing up the sport again with their pressure regulations.

1) RBR is in trouble because Manor signed with Mercedes and they are now stuck with Ferrari as their only viable option. They could possibly take Lotus' Mercedes engines but that has yet to play itself out. RBR could even be behind new spec Ferrari powered Haas next year.

2) Button was just threatening retirement to screw Ron Dennis who was trying to cut his pay. If Button retired, he'd get paid out and McLaren would still have to pay another driver. Well played, Jenson.

3) We should see them powered by Renault. Would be silly otherwise.

Great racing in Austin! Well done by Lewis, although that move in Turn 1 was prrretty aggressive. Good racing throughout the field, with all of the RBR and STR driver's looking pretty awesome. Jenson had a great day and was on fire for at least one stint.

I was really hoping that Lewis would have his Shelby sitting trackside in anticipation of getting WDC. Donuts in an original Shelby Cobra? He would win the hearts of US GP fans for decades.

Crazy payback for Bottas, while managing no real damage. Kimi is the reason Perez was in front of Bottas in the WDC coming into Mexico.

Seems like Mexico is going to be a pretty boring track until one of the other engine manufacturers can catch up to Mercedes power levels. If not for those long straights, I think RBR would have been even stronger.

Verstappen provides the only real highlight in another snoozefest again. Brazillian rain gods weren't in our favour.

Lewis needs to win the last race in my eyes.
