Default Goodyear Nordic winter tires from Cdn Tire

Anyone have any experience with Goodyear Nordic winter tires from Canadian Tire? I see the commercials and they look pretty good, but they are comparing it to the older Goodyear Nordics or their own brand of winter tires.

The price is good for my vehicle and within my budget. I've looked at other tires like Blizzaks and Michelin X-ice, but it would be at least 50% more to get them. The reviews on Cdn Tire are nice and I checked out the tire and it seems of good quality.

I plan to buy a set of winter tires this weekend (like everyone else at Cdn Tire when I was there, wait till the last minute) and will checkout a few more places. But so far Cdn Tire is looking pretty good.

With the demand in quebec this year, just get some winter tires wherever you can. There really isn't much time to shop around.

FWIW, I haven't heard anything negative about the Nordics.

A winter tire is a winter tire. Some are better than others, but in the end, even the cheapest winter tires are going to be way better than all-seasons. I got the cheapest I could find (firestone winterforce) and I have no complaints so far.

But if you're looking for that little extra grip for ice auto-x or rubber-to-ice ice racing, then look at the high end expensive tires like the Blizzaks.

They're pretty generic winter tires. I just got a set of Hankook i pikes for Sheryl's Sentra.

tirerack.com has good prices. order them through frontier subaru.

I know you can buy winter tires from wal-mart in the US for cheap and there are no duties since they are made in north america.

I bought my last 2 sets of nordics from cdn tire and they are pretty damn good. I even have them on my bangbus(yes I'm driving it this winter F***U) and with the few inches we got this morning it was like nothing for my van. drove through the snow without ease and I bought mine back in Sept knowing full well I wasn't going to wait last minute. pick them up Adrian, you won't regret it.

I was at cdn tire last night and they were closing, so the dude at the Polo Park store stacked 2 of the 4 tires and was supposed to put the rest in the same pile. Took my name and # and told me to call in the morning as he'll put these aside. Call in the morning before I head down and the a$$ on the phone says "We don't hold tires for no one". WTF!?!? Ask to speak to the manager and click, he hangs up. Damn! Can't wait now to head down there after work.

I had a similar experience at a Wal-mart recently. I never would have even gone there, but the good tire shop around here (and long time CSCC sponsor) closed down recently

Putting them on today, but apparently they're pretty badass. Can't wait to play in some snow.

Default Goodyear Nordic winter tires

Just put a set on my '11 Accord and they are the noisiest tires I've ever heard on a vehicle! Not much of any snow yet so do not know how they'll be but they appear to look a lot like the truck Wrangler style tire. On ice which we had an abundance of yesterday and today in Michigan, they didn't seem any better than the standard Michelin tires which I just took off.
