Default Door keyhole locks stuck, suggestions?

Hey guys, so I try to open my van doors manually by key because my keyfob needs a new battery. It appears both my driver side and passanger door locks are jammed, as in i can turn the key a quarter of the way but i cant unlock either door. Possibly because of lack of use? not sure.

Anyone know where i can get this fixed, or point me in the right direction?

TIA

Might need a new tumbler. Call a locksmith.

I can't remember who I called, but the locksmiths in the city are helpful and will direct you to someone who can.

Yeah, you probably need a whole new tumbler and get it keyed to your key. I don't know of anywhere other than the stealership to do this.

I had to do this last Christmas when Winterpeg punks tried to steal the Avalanche... freakin expensive.

If the door locks aren't used (as they are now with most cars having keyless entry), they dry out and get stuck. Did you try some WD-40 in it first?

I've replaced tumblers myself before. I learned how to re-key tumblers, not that hard, as long as you have access to the old keys. Makes it tons easier. Just some dirt getting into there and some non-use will easily jam it up.
