Default Income tax, what do you use?

Just wondering what people do for their income taxes, since its that time of the year again.

Last year I used TurboTax software to complete my taxes and think it went well. I found about a GenuTax (www.genutax.ca) this year, and was going to try it since its free now.

What do you use? Anybody have experience with GenuTax in the past?

Been using the TurboTax Intuit products for 5 years now, if you're an ACU member you get a discount on it as well. There are some times where I have questions but their FAQs/tax experts only cover so much. I suspect as my life gets more complex I will be needing an accountant.

http://www.studiotax.com/en/

It's free - used it the last 5 years for myself and family. Works great!

How do you get the ACU discount? Last year I used turbotax but just paid ane online fee of $17.

I will look into studiotax as well. That's the other software that came up a lot.

When you log into your online ACU account, there will be a link to turbo tax in the bottom left corner.

I can't remember what the fee is but its dirt cheap. I like turbo tax because every year it just takes our old info from last year. Makes things pretty efficient.

Cool thanks, I'll look into that. Carrying over information is the only thing at this point that I am even considering turbotax.

Well, it's this time of the year again. Wondering what everyone is using? Is Studiotax still a good option? Never used it, but been leery of turbotax ever since I took my return to H&R block and they came up with a different refund over what I did in Turbo tax.

My accountant does the business taxes and the wife does the personal taxes.

Still doing the taxes myself. They haven't gotten too complicated yet so I am using Genutax.

I've used StudioTax the last couple of years. It's capable, but we've also had a few glitches where we've entered a form and then it has been lost, so if you use StudioTax, be sure to review everything very carefully before submitting.

I'll probably try out Studio Tax and double check it with TurboTax to see if they both line up.
